Tamarack Lodge is a historic, woodland retreat nestled into Pachaug State Forest in Voluntown, Connecticut. Convenient to New England and New York, this rustic wedding and events venue features a main lodge; a fully renovated, three-bedroom guest house; three fully restored vintage cabins; and three unique wedding ceremony spaces, including Brookside, a small bandstand and a grand bandstand.
In our main lodge you'll find unique event spaces with lofted ceilings, scenic views of the property, and capacity for up to 200 guests. We host weddings, family reunions, showers, celebrations of life, class reunions and offer live music and special dinner selections on select evenings. Live music moves outside on summer evenings, with lawnside drinks and dinner service. In the winter, come warm up around our large, historic hearth.
Once hosting a secret party for the cast of The Sopranos so they could avoid the paparazzi, Tamarack Lodge is a hidden gem dating back to the 1700’s. The 28 acres of land have been home to various enterprises including a blacksmith shop, a water-powered wheelwright, a tree farm, and a popular vacation resort in the 1940s. Industrial gears are still visible in the main buildings’ ceilings and remnants of the lodge's history adorn the site.
The resort also features a private beach with swimming, canoeing and kayaking; scenic walking trails; picnic area; fire pits; and lawn games.
